Notes
General Note
Mark of Zorro based on Johnston McCulley's: The curse of Capistrano.
General Note
This 1920 silent film, newly transferred from a fine-grain safety print of the original negative, is accompanied by the five-piece Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra using historic "photoplay music" to create an authentic, exciting, and compelling score of the kind heard in movie theaters in the 1920s. Extras include a commentary track, a gallery of John Tibbetts' Fairbanks artwork, and special features about the music.
Participants/Performers
Douglas Fairbanks, Marguerite De La Motte, Noah Beery, Robert McKim, George Periolot, Mary Astor, Donald Crisp, Jack McDonald, Warner Oland, Jean Hersholt, and Snitz Edwards.
Description
Zorro (1920): When an evil governor seizes control of California it is up to foppish Don de le Vaga's alter ego Zorro to set things straight. This 1920 action adventure stills holds up today and set a high bar for all Zorro films to follow and contains some of movie history's most memorable stunts.
